Non-Driver ID Card With Photo
Good for eight (8) years. Senior discounts available. Call Department of Motor Vehicles for application and information. The web address is: www.nydmv.state.ny.us.

Metro Bus Pass
Ride anytime for half fare if you are 65 or older, or handicapped. Verification from doctor required, cost $2.00. Pass with photo distributed on the second Wednesday of any month, between 10:00 am and noon, at the Salvation Army. For information call the Salvation Army at, 716-883-9800 or the NFTA at 716-855-7227

Parking Pass
City of Buffalo and outlying areas issue a permit to park in “handicapped” spaces. Call your town hall or the Advocacy Office at 716-885-4204 for details.

Access Pass
Free use of New York State parks, historic sites and recreational facilities by disabled residents. (Includes free parking, camping, golf course fees, and swimming.) Proper certification and photo required. For information and an application call The Department of Conservation at 716-851-7000 or any State park regional office. The web address is: www.dec.state.ny.us/website/outdoors/accesspass.html.

Golden Access Passport
Free lifetime entrance pass for disabled persons to federally operated parks, historic sites and recreational facilities. You must apply in person at any federally operated recreation area.

Fishing License
Free New York State fishing license to legally blind individuals. Bring proof of legal blindness to your license distributor or call the Department of Conservation at 716-851-7000 for further information.

Albright-Knox Museum
Variety of services available to visually impaired and disabled; audio guide and special displays to touch. Information is available at the front desk upon arrival call 716-882-8700.

Amherst Museum, Gallery for the Senses
Museum of authentic artifacts signed in Braille for blind, visually impaired and disabled persons; sponsored by the Amherst Lions Club. Located at 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, East Amherst NY 14051. Call for information, 716-689-1440.
